Due to MFS Construction, LLC being a full-service general contracting firm with a strong background in the design and construction of marine and related waterfront structures and can provide a full range of consulting services, The South Jersey Port Corporation Construction (SJPC) awarded MFS a contract for construction management.
MFS, as the Prime contract holder, has been awarded the one (1) year contract that provides elements of construction management that include reviewing bid documents and attending mandatory pre-bid meetings if required, replying to potential bidders questions, evaluating bids received, attending preconstruction meetings addressing schedules and procedures, reviewing and approving all submittals from the contractor, attending periodic construction progress meetings, and reviewing and approving payment requests and change orders.
MFS Construction, LLC was selected to participate in the SJPC On-Call in part based on the firm’s history of success with similar projects such as NUCEDC Citywide Ferry Services Program, Brooklyn Navy Yard Pier C Reconstruction, and NYCEDC Brooklyn Army Terminal Pier 4 Ferry Landing.
